Women's top-roping event - 27/09/2025

Rock 'n' Roots is a volunteer-led organisation for women that faciliates climbing events. We celebrate the cultural roots of our members and have created a space for them to feel safe, included and empowered within a fun and welcoming environment.

Join us for a Women's Top-roping Event at The Big Depot in Leeds, UK! This event is a fantastic opportunity for women to come together, build meaningful connections and enjoy the exhilarating sport of climbing.

Whether you're a seasoned climber or a complete newbie, this event is perfect for you to push your limits and feel empowered. Come and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere as you challenge yourself and build new friendships.

What to bring:

• BEGINNER climbers (those that require supervision) should bring email confirmation after completing waiver.
• EXPERIENCED climbers (those that are able to belay and climb unsupervised) should bring email confirmation after completing waiver.

• Plenty of hype

What to wear:

• Comfortable gym clothes

• Shorter lengthed abaya (if you usually wear one)

What NOT to wear:

• Jewellery
• Long abaya

Included:

• Entry to the climbing wall

• Climbing shoes hire
• Harness hire
• Belay device hire
• Supervision (by volunteers, Alaya and Lu) if you are a beginner climber

Event structure:

• Welcome and sign in at The Big Depot
• Safety talk
• Climb, climb, climb :)
