Welcome to Risk A Verse, the night which brings feelgood communal tunery to the fine folk of Leeds! The concept is this: you sign up for a slot in advance to play and/or sing a song of your choice on the theme, then on the night you sing the verses and everyone else joins in on the chorus.
This time we're looking forward to a night of themes from the small screen, as we'll be singing some of our favourite TV theme songs.
Normally this is where we'd tell you how to sign up to perform on the night.....however, the requests came in pretty speedily after the last event, so all the slots are full!
If performing, please let us know if you'd like to enlist the services of House Guitarist Mike to accompany you - or you're welcome to use a backing track if not accompanying yourself.
On the night, we will project the lyrics onto the wall, so if your version differs from the version on
https://genius.com then please let us know at least a few days before the event.
If playing the song yourself, you must bring your own instrument.
There is an in-house PA and sound engineer. Percussion (played by you or a friend) is optional, though we don't want to faff around with any drum kits.
If you are concerned about sharing a mic and can bring your own, you are welcome to use it.
Doors are at 7.15pm and we'll start the music at 7.45pm.
