Existing in an exciting juncture between revivalist jungle and OG stripped down instrumental hip hop, with an authentic underground twist. AMWG takes us back to the days of Mo’ Wax, Moving Shadow and Ninja Tune. Nevertheless, don’t be fooled into thinking this a cloying naval gaze into nostalgic sentimentality, AMWG adds a gritty twist to the affair with moody soundscapes, eerie post-ambient pads and crunchy off kilter beats and is very much from a new breed of producers, wishing to acknowledge their musical forebears whilst forging well loved musical tropes into new territories.

MATTROBSON
Vacillating between post-ambient melancholy, through to early 00s inspired prog electronica and post-classical piano workouts, through to systems driven rhythmic gymnastics calling to mind later period Autechre. MattRobson’s music is all held together in such a way, that the dance floor, can somewhere be sensed, albeit through a cracked telescopic lens, very very far way.
Structure and deconstruction are celebrated in equal amounts. Classic era Warp heads and fans of post-electro rhythmic exploration will find much to enjoy here.

Quip live shows are always something to savour, not least because you are never quite sure which genre he will be operating in; from Fennesz styled rustic and bucolic laptop and guitar meditations to heavy studio export hardware sets on vintage boxes or modular set ups.
