On June 14th, artists around the globe will be hiding original mushroom-themed artworks in public places... and YOU get to hunt for them!
🎨 What is Game of Shrooms?
Started in 2019 by artist Attaboy, Game of Shrooms is a global art scavenger hunt — kind of like an Easter egg hunt, but weirder and way more creative. It’s about surprise, connection, and sharing original art in unexpected ways. Artists from all over — from Berlin to Tasmania to right here in Leavenworth — are part of this growing movement!
🌍 How it works:
Artists hide mushroom-themed artworks (no ads, no prints, just original art!) in public places starting June 14 at 10am.
They post photo clues online (often on Instagram) with tags like #gameofshroomsleavenworth and #gameofshrooms2025
Seekers follow the hints, hunt for the art, and keep what they find! (but only one piece per artist, please!)
If no one finds your art by the end of the day? Be a responsible mushroom ninja and retrieve it — this is a Leave No Trace event 🌿
