LVFD Fire Prevention Open House

Chief Brian Cox, President Vic Whipple, and the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department membership would like to invite the public to their Annual Fire Prevention Open House on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from Noon - 3:00pm, at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Station, 7411 Cherry Lane.

The fire prevention theme for 2025 is “Charge into Fire Safety. Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.”

The event is free and open to the public. We welcome residents of Laurel and surrounding communities to attend and bring their families and friends.

The Open House will be a fun learning experience for kids, and if you have interest in finding out more about volunteering, come down and speak with our Firefighters and EMTs!

There will also be safety demonstrations and kids’ activities, and you can view our apparatus, equipment and more!
