CALL TO ACTION: BARBERS OF PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY

As trusted community figures and frontline professionals, barbers are in a powerful position to help protect and educate the people we serve every day.

We’re calling on all barbers in Prince George’s County to take a stand for safety, preparedness, and community care by raising awareness about the importance of having an Emergency Action Plan in every barbershop. This includes:

· CPR and AED training

· Active shooter response protocols

· Fire safety and evacuation planning

· Bleeding control techniques through the STOP THE BLEED® campaign

. Barber inclusivity training for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Your chair is more than a place for fresh cuts — it's a hub for connection, mentorship, and now, life-saving awareness.

Certification is coming from the National CPR Foundation.
