Ft. Selden Garden Harvest & Salsa Demo

Join Ranger Mike at Fort Selden Historic Site in Radium Springs, New Mexico to help harvest chiles and vegetables from the foodways garden on Sat., Aug. 30, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Participants will learn the process of roasting chiles, making their own delicious salsa, and canning the salsa. The garden includes New Mexico No. 9 chiles, Heritage Big Jim chiles, Heritage 62 chiles, and other varieties planted in the spring. Cooking outdoors is contingent on weather and fire restrictions.

This program is included with admission at $5/adult and free for children 16 and younger.
