About the event

Ranger Read & Learn
In a partnership with the Martha Liebert Public Library in Bernalillo, New Mexico, Coronado Historic Site offers a “Ranger Read and Learn” story time and activity on Sat., Aug. 16, 10 - 11 a.m.

Today children will learn about animal tracks, which are pawprints or footprints that animals leave in the dirt where they walk. Looking for animal tracks can tell you what animals are in your neighborhood. Listen to the story "Who was Here?: Discovering Wild Animal Tracks" by Mia Posada, then play an animal track matching game. We’ll also create animal tracks using stamps and play with model magic clay.

Ranger Read & Learn is free and geared toward children ages 3 – 7 years old.
