Join Us for a Bird Wander Along the Poudre River - starting from Lee Martinez Park on Friday, June 27 from 9–11am.
All are welcome—whether you're a beginner or a seasoned birder. This walk is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and all about enjoying birds together in community.
We'll explore a flat, paved trail along the Poudre River. Binoculars are encouraged but also are optional—we’re happy to share! Group size is limited to 12, so please register here: shorturl.at/Uzb9B
Outing Leaders - Amy Roush and Alan Godwin are experienced field trip leaders with the Northern Colorado Bird Alliance who enjoy sharing their knowledge of local bird species—and learning from others, too.
To help create a welcoming space where everyone can bring their full selves, Amy and Alan want to share a bit about their own experiences: Amy lives with social anxiety and ADHD, and Alan navigates balance challenges following a brain aneurysm. They believe birding is for everyone, and that each person’s perspective and presence enriches the group.
Meet Up Point - Parking lot by the tennis courts, at the northwest corner of the lot. We will gather for a brief introduction, walk to the northwest, return to the starting point shortly after 10am. Finishing with optionally walk down the path in the other
direction toward College Ave.
Trail - Paved and well-maintained hike-and-bike trail which is mostly flat and does not exceed a 3% grade; two reserved parking spaces are available in the parking lot with curb cuts to access the trail. Note that there is a paved path to restrooms with running
water and stalls intended to be accessible, but we can’t guarantee cleanliness or functionality.
