Come out and stretch your creative muscles and make a Mech from scratch! Hoplite is hosting a Randomized Build-Off competition to Kitbash, Trashbash, or just bash-bash together a combat robot over the course of a month. Then, after a small time to "pretty it up", you'll throw them in a gauntlet for the title of "Scrapyard Royalty!"
The building portion is free to participate in, and will be Wednesday evenings in June from 6-8 at Hoplite, where everyone will bring in bits and bobs to use in mech constructions, to share with everyone. You are free to bring any materials like glue, just know they will be used.
Everyone is encouraged to bring up to a 2 gallon tote filled with anything you think would make fun robot pieces or terrain, share with others, and glue them together to make your mechanized monstrosity.
The "Scrapyard Royal Rumble" is the tournament taking place on July 19th. It is $10 to enter your mech that was created. We'll be playing the free game of Bangarang as the tournament, made by the YouTube channel "Bill Makes Things". It's easy to learn and play, so even if you've never heard of it, you can play it for the title!
