The Lancaster Museum of Art & History (MOAH) invites the Antelope Valley’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, as well as their friends and family, to participate in the Visual Language tour for our latest exhibition, m\other . The Visual Language tour will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 5 PM. The tour will be led by curatorial staff, accompanied by an ASL interpreter.
m\other explores motherhood beyond the traditional nuclear family, engaging themes of queer, Indigenous, and spiritual mothering. Through diverse media and perspectives, the exhibition challenges dominant narratives and reimagines motherhood as a site of care, creation, and resilience. Drawing from cultural traditions and personal experiences, the artists reclaim maternal power and highlight alternative forms of kinship and connection.
