TV FACE
TV FACE are three socially awkward weirdos from Lancaster, whose songs serve “sonic fury with a satirical edge … blistering, genre-defying … both chaotic and meticulously tight” (HellaFuzz).
Live, TV FACE are known for their high-intensity performances, “with dynamics I’ve not seen since the likes of Therapy? … in the early nineties” (Louder Than War). They have supported The Undertones, benefits, Warmduscher, Evil Blizzard, Opus Kink, Gans, and more!
For this special edition of Idiot Box presents… the band are celebrating the release of their 2nd LP WOLF RENTS BARK (official release date 5th September 2025) on Preston’s hothouse of talent - Crackedankles Records (home to Evil Blizzard, Hot Wax, Yaang, Polypores, Michael, and more). WOLF RENTS BARK was recorded at Whitewood Studios in Liverpool with Rob Whiteley, who recently produced the latest BC Camplight album. The album sees the band’s sound coalescing and maturing, becoming darker, harder, and more anthemic. The album is available on premium-weight hot pink vinyl, CD and DL and will be available to buy at the show a day before its official release!!
Gas Künst
Gas Kunst wander through the world, catch their reflection and see imposters. How to find spirit amid such alienation? Gather in a room, grab instruments, play, record, play. Musical influences? The pure pipes of Karen Carpenter, the dextrous chug of Wilko Johnson, the incessant clatter of reindeer hooves. Let us pray. Their second album ‘Charm Offensive’ was released on Rare Vitamin Records in August.
Aiore
Aoire (pronounced Era) is musician and sound artist Shaun Blezard. He has been part of the Morecambe Bay music community since the mid-80s, starting as bass player with The Peach Thieves and The Clementines. Inspired by mid-90s ambient dance, he started making electronic music. This has been his main interest for the last 25 years, incorporating field recordings and free improvisation into his music. He became the first Cumbrian composer to be featured in the British Music Collection and is returning to the stage after a break of a few years. He has played with musicians from Pere Ubu, The Slits and Mike Flowers Pops and many of the leading free improvisers in the UK.
Current Aoire music is made from elements of recordings of local independent bands from the 80s and 90s, mostly taken from old cassettes, many of which have been in various lofts in Barrow for decades. The music comes clad in tape hiss, wow, flutter and muck, degraded by copying, each play delivering less information and more evidence of the frailty of the vessel. Aoire deep-mines these accretions for stems and samples, and subjects them to a granular, forensic examination. What emerges is like a hazy memory of youth glimpsed from a middle-aged perspective, it floats in a suspension of blue pub air and valve amp hum, pinpricked by shards of clarity.
About our ticket prices
We want everyone to be able to come to our gigs if they want to, no matter how much cash they do or don't have. But we do have costs to cover to make this event happen. So here's the deal.
Choose the £5 unwaged ticket if you have a low income, are unemployed, under-employed, precariously employed, and struggle to afford the basics.
Choose the £7 ticket if you're employed and can afford the basics, have some savings, or generally have some money left over at the end of the month.
Choose the £10 ticket if you have disposable income, live a comfortable life, can afford luxuries, and can easily afford a tenner for a night of first-class live music.
