6th Annual Lamoni Kids Fishing Derby

Join us for our 6th Annual Fishing Derby at Home Pond! This fishing derby always occurs during Iowa's Free Fishing Weekend (the first full weekend in June) and is sponsored by the Decatur County Conservation Board, Lamoni Parks & Rec, and the City of Lamoni. The fishing derby is FREE and is open to kids ages 18 and under, but families are encouraged to attend. Medals will be awarded for First Fish, Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Most Fish. The first 80 kids will receive a FREE t-shirt and there will be PRIZES for all participants! A FREE lunch will also be served afterwards. Bring your fishing pole, bait, chair, and bucket.
