In 2017 Australia D. Kincannon had just seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi and that was where her writing journey began. The Tacoma, Washington author was so in love with the story, she went to Ao3 to start her first fanfiction (which she never finished). But, not too long after that, she wrote her first screenplay and continued down that path for a few years. Horror and thriller being her favorite genre to write at the time.
