This coming Mother's Day, ALL moms receive a free admission to the caves! This year it will be the perfect opportunity to beat the summer crowds to see the new lighting inside the cave!
Take your mother for a tour of breathtaking Lake Shasta Caverns.
This Mother’s Day, every single Mom is our very special guests and can tour the caverns for free, accompanied by a complimentary flower and free photo of her with her family our fellow group of Moms celebrating a “girl’s day out!”
Mom and her group will enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Cavern Queen across beautiful Shasta Lake. You will also get a sneak peek of why we have been so excited with the where the lake is, as this has been the first year in several that we have been “to the top!”
Afterwards, take a private shuttle 850 feet up the mountain in a comfortable tour bus to the entrance to the caves. The scenery inside and out of the caves are stunning this time of year!
Inside, you’ll discover intricate underground formations formed millions of years ago and learn about brave explorers who discovered the caves by crawling through small dark openings in the limestone. Today, visitors enter through a door in the side of the mountain and walk along lighted paths and steps to see the caverns in all its beauty. To reach the caverns, take I-5 North to the Shasta Caverns/O’Brien exit (#695) and follow the signs.
Tours depart every hour from nine to three. We are expecting to open more tours in the morning depending on how busy we get!
