AJ Whittier presents 'The God in 3B' and 'Always Never Meant to Be'

Third Place Books welcomes former Third Place Commons director Amy, writing as AJ Whittier, to our Lake Forest Park location for a celebration of her two new releases, Always Never Meant to Be: A Love Story and The God in 3B. These emotional, bittersweet, and romantic reads take place in contemporary Seattle—with an added touch of magic.

Clarey’s new life hasn’t kicked off quite as she expected. After a year stuck in a house with her ex-husband (not to mention his new girlfriend), she couldn’t wait to settle into her fabulous new condo and finally have some time to herself, with just her books and beloved bulldog Roxy for company. AJ Whittier was the director of Third Place Commons for eight years before leaving to write full-time. Raised in Ohio and marinated in Paris, London, and Los Angeles, she now makes her home with her husband in Seattle, Washington. Although she studied creative writing, playwriting, and screenwriting at Earlham College and The Ohio State University, she’s since found her sweet spot penning novels. And while she doesn’t like to brag, she did win a high school journalism award. So technically, she’s an award-winning writer. She adores the Pacific Northwest and dreams of moving to the Oregon coast someday when she’s finally had enough of city life. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her missing her dearly departed dog, dreaming of getting a Bernese Mountain Dog someday, and obsessing over favorite books, movies, and a lifelong Broadway addiction.
