On the first Saturday each month, Lake Area Grassroots Gatherings hosts what we call a "Resistance Gathering". This is a solidarity event where we offer safety, support, and peaceful actions steps we plan and can do together.
At each gathering we have music, an art table with supplies to make your own poster if you choose to, and we enjoy loads of fun. Music, singing, dancing, cheering, cracking jokes, sharing niceties (like stickers and buttons, for example), and networking with local stakeholder leaders.
This gives us the opportunity to meet consistently, build relationships, strengthen networking ties, discuss and strategize ideas and plans together, and so much more.
We'll have water there. Please bring a lawn chair if you'd like to rest you feet and sit for a while. Hats are suggested due to the sun. Bringing a healthy snack is a good idea too.
The more, the merrier. Don't be shy. We need you :)
