Join us for the season's first FREE Beach Bash & Movies On the Beach series featuring Over the Hedge (PG) on Friday, July 18th, at Freedom Lake! Come early for some beach fun including a pre-movie party on the beach with a DJ, giveaways, games and more starting at 6:30pm! Then stay for showtime to enjoy Over the Hedge under the stars beginning at 8:30-45pm (actual start time depends on darkness). This is a non-swimming event. Bring your own chairs and/or blankets. Registration opens online at www.lagrangeparksandrec.com to LaGrange residents on Saturday, July 5th, at 9am and to eligible non-residents* on Saturday, July 12th, at 9am. Proof of residency for residents and eligible non-residents* through a property tax or utility bill is required to register if you have not already uploaded to your account for the 2025 season. ***A driver’s license is not proof of residency.***
In addition to household members, registrants are allowed up to 6 guests per household (no residency required for guests but we do ask that you note the age of children under 12 following their name). Be sure to register yourself and any household member who will be attending the event in addition to any guests.
You will receive an email confirmation upon registering. If you do not receive an email, registration was not completed. Contact the Recreation Office at 845-452-1972. ***Please keep in mind new accounts, new members, and proof of residency go through an approval process and require 48 hours for review.***
If you have any issues registering or uploading proof of residency for members in your household, please contact the Recreation Office at 845-452-1972 during regular office hours (M-F, 8:30-4pm) prior to the day of the event, we are happy to help you!
We often sell out movie events so we kindly ask you to please only register for those you know can make it to the event and reach out to us prior should your plans fall through so we can allow all families who’d like to attend this free event.
