ONE-DAY: Mission to Remember
One-Day Mission of Remembrance is a solemn and patriotic journey created to honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service during the Middle East conflicts. Departing from Lafayette, Indiana, this meaningful day trip will bring together veterans and Gold Star families as they travel to the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, Illinois—a powerful and sacred tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in modern warfare.
Scheduled to depart at 2:30 PM, led by Chaplain Bryan Courtney (U.S. Army Veteran, 1989- 1997), immediately following the Memorial Day Ceremony at Columbian Park in Lafayette, the mission will return at approximately 10:00 PM. This day of remembrance offers a unique opportunity for reflection, healing, and unity—allowing those who served, and the families who carry the memory of the fallen, to stand together in solemn tribute.
This mission is more than a trip—it is a purposeful act of remembrance. With reverence, patriotism, and compassion, this journey is designed to create a supportive space for honoring the fallen, fostering connection, and offering peace to those left behind. May this day strengthen the bonds of service and sacrifice, and remind us all of the true cost of freedom.
