Lafayette Skate Jam - August

Join us this summer for the first ever Lafayette Skate Jam, an exciting event series presented by the City of Lafayette! The Outdoor Rink and Skate Park come alive with the perfect mix of music, skating, and fun! You can expect cold treats from Eats n Sweets and a few added surprises provided by local businesses and partnering city departments. Whether you're here to skate, dance, hang out with friends, or simply vibe to the music, the Lafayette Skate Jam is the place to be. Don’t miss out on the summer’s ultimate hangout spot – see you there!

DJ Dave Heinrich will play from 7-8. Dave has been on the turntables for over 25 years and mixes a wide range of music from Motown & Disco to Hip Hop & EDM. He's the founder of Tier Two Live and has been curating live music shows and other events since 2019.

Overwroghts will play from 8-9. Fueled by coffee and steakburgers, Overwroghts is a band that was born to be on a Punk-O-Rama compilation, but just happened to be about 30 years too late to the party. Not a pop punk band, but definitely not hardcore.
