Class Description:
Creative Play @ PWG is a joyful, movement-rich class designed for babies who can sit unassisted through preschool-aged children. Inspired by our most-loved Messy Lab experiences, this class blends sensory exploration, open-ended art making, and gross motor play to support whole-child development in a playful, nurturing environment.
Children are invited to move, explore, create, and experiment at their own pace—whether that means climbing up the wooden gym, squishing materials, pouring and scooping, or engaging in hands-on creative play. Grown-ups stay and play alongside their little ones, strengthening connection while supporting confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Why Creative Play Matters:
Creative Play supports early development by engaging both the body and the brain. Through sensory-rich materials and movement-based activities, children build coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness while also developing fine motor skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Open-ended play encourages imagination, self-expression, and emotional regulation, helping children feel capable and confident as they explore the world around them.
By combining sensory favorites from Messy Lab with opportunities for big movement and creative discovery, this class offers a balanced, developmentally supportive experience that nurtures growing minds and bodies.
What to Bring:
Please dress your child in clothes that can get messy and allow for movement. A change of clothes is recommended. All materials used are food-safe and thoughtfully selected, but if your child has any allergies or sensitivities, please note them on the participant waiver and let us know so we can make appropriate accommodations.
Registration Details:
Registration is required only for participating children. Grown-ups attend at no additional cost and must remain with their child throughout the class.
