The Boy in the Treehouse by Drew Hayden Taylor at St. Mary's Parish in Ladysmith

Reconciliation Theatre is a non-profit theatre company whose mission is to uplift the work of Indigenous writers, actors, and artists while fostering meaningful connections within the community. We are so excited to be presenting our rendition of "The Boy in the Treehouse" to our friends on Stz'uminus territory in Ladysmith.

“The Boy in the Treehouse” is an entertaining and moving coming-of-age story that delves into the complexities of growing up Indigenous in a multicultural world, offering a compelling tale of self-discovery. Simon finds refuge in his treehouse, as he grapples with questions about who he is and where he belongs. Through laughter, heart, and a touch of magic, “The Boy in the Treehouse” offers a poignant yet uplifting story that resonates with the entire family.
