On August 29, Shane was involved in a devastating accident that has changed the course of his life. While en route to Alberta, tragedy struck, and Shane was airlifted to Vancouver, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit receiving critical medical care.
Shane has suffered extensive injuries, including:
Multiple spinal fractures
Facial fractures
Broken ribs and a broken arm
Contused lungs
Numerous head staples
He is currently dependent on both a breathing and feeding tube. He has already undergone one spinal surgery and faces a long, difficult road to recovery.
As many of you know, Shane is a proud father of three children and a devoted husband. He has also dedicated his life to his passion—working as a mechanic and running his own shop, Shanes at Your Door Auto, in Ladysmith, BC. Unfortunately, due to his condition, the shop has to remain closed until further notice.
Shane is the sole provider for his family, and with him now hospitalized in Vancouver for the foreseeable future, they are facing enormous emotional and financial challenges. Your support will help cover:
Living expenses for his family while in Vancouver
Ongoing medical bills and recovery costs
Loss of income due to the shop closure
Any additional unforeseen expenses during his healing journey
