Join us at Yonder Hill Farm for a farm tour and talk about Selecting Seed Crops for Regional Adaptation! This is a great opportunity to tour a small-scale, family farm that is almost exclusively focused on seed crop production and seed sales. Yonder Hill's collection includes over 200 varieties of vegetables, herbs, grains, and flowers, many of which have been thoughtfully stewarded for decades. Most are heirlooms, carefully restored through patient selection, and some are farm-bred originals! Farmer Chris Sanford will share about her experience growing commercial seed crops, and share about her tried and tested strategies for adapting seed crops to her climate and practices. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow growers and gain valuable insights for your farm.
This fied day is designed for market farmers and vegetable growers with horticultural experience, and seed growers.
Please note: This field day is included in the learning series . If you have already registered for that series, you do not need to register here.
