Alberta Open Farm Day at Christy Creek Honey

The bees are buzzing… but they might stay tucked inside this weekend due to the cool weather 🐝💤
While we may not be able to offer our popular “Suit Up and See the Bees” tours this year (cold temps could harm the baby bees!), we’re still excited to greet you! We may offer honey extraction tours (inside!) if it is too cold and rainy outside.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
✅ Visit our brand-new Honey Dome — a cozy indoor space to learn, relax, and get creative
🎨 Watch members of the Lac La Biche Art Club as they create bee-inspired art on-site
🖌️ Join in on fun art activities for all ages (and yes, the observation hive will be buzzing indoors!)
🛍️ The Bee Boutique will be open — browse honey, beeswax candles, and other bee-themed goodies
🙌 Friendly volunteers on hand — including youth helpers and bee experts by the observation hive
🌸 Picnic spots available — bring your lunch and soak in the sweet scenery (even if it’s from under an umbrella!)
👉 Weather Update: hive tours may be cancelled due to the cold, and outdoor activities may be limited. But rain won’t stop us from sharing our passion for bees, honey, and farm life with you!
