Since 2010 the Cordillera Challenge has brought hundreds of mountain bike riders to explore the Cordilleras beautiful and remote mountains. It is in many ways a classic Philippine mountain biking adventure! And the longest continuously running one as well and has existed for 15 years now with only the pandemic to cut its run. This year we are bringing back this OG adventure to bring you all back into the. outdoors that we love here in our home in the Cordillera mountains.
The course will feature a mix of single track, fire road, village paths, gravel, and paved areas. As with previous editions we will have 2 main categories the EPIC which is the harder course and will have approximately 2000m of elevation gain and loss and the MINI EPIC an easier course but no less challenging with 1000m of loss. Both main categories will have sub categories for different disciplines: MTB, Gravel, or E-MTB. Cut off times for all courses will be 12 hours.
Riders are expected to be self sufficient with spare tires and tools to keep you going. For E-MTBs you will need to carry a spare battery if you are doing the EPIC distance as 2000m of gain is normally the upper limit of the range of most E-MTBs.
Final details of the course with GPX files, aid stations, and other details will be emailed to all registered participants 2 weeks prior to the event.
Accommodations should be in Baguio City. The race venue is 25kms or 40 minutes away from the City.
