Social Equity Book Club

A community-rooted book club hosted by the La Mesa Juneteenth Foundation, offering a curated space for honest dialogue, discovery, and disruption through the voices of Black authors. Centering memoirs and novels that illuminate the lived experiences of marginalized communities, this club invites readers to explore the truths behind racism, classism, and the social biases that still shape our world.

This month's book will be The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. Pick up a copy from the library front desk.
