Join us for our monthly moonlight hike! The full moon is upon us, so come join us for a soft and steady hike up Cowles Mountain as it transitions from golden hour to the night. 🌙✨
We’ll meet at 6:45 PM and start hiking by 7 PM, catching golden hour views, watching the sunset, and soaking in the full moon glow as it rises over San Diego. Sunset is at 7:39 PM and moonrise is at 8:13 PM.
The hike is about 3 miles round trip (~2 hours) with 1,000 ft elevation gain, so expect a moderate climb with some light scrambling. The trail is well marked with fencing but very rocky. We’ll take our time and keep the pace comfy for everyone.
✨ Bring:
• A flashlight or headlamp (it’ll get dark on the way down!)
• Plenty of water
• Good shoes (trail can get rocky)
• Layers or a light jacket
• Snacks to share or something to sip if you’d like
We’ll spend some time at the top as the sky transitions to night before heading down and maybe coordinate a late night bite after?
