This training will the first two modules of a four module course. Designed by Reach Hurting Kids Institute, it will be facilitated by the Hope Kids Special Needs Ministry Team at Christ First Church.
Module 1
Two out of three kids will experience at least one traumatic event during their childhood. This interactive workshop will prepare you to reach the hurting kids in your church community!
*Understand the widespread impact of trauma
*Recognize the signs of trauma in the church
*Learn practical strategies to help hurting kids heal and succeed.
Develop a new lens for discipleship and point kids to Christ, even in their most difficult moments.

Module 2
Discipline: Obstacle or Opportunity
Traditional approaches to discipline view misbehavior as an OBSTACLE to ministry. Instead, this workshop will teach you how to use discipline problems as an OPPORTUNITY for ministry.
*Create a more supportive Learning Environment
*Build and strengthen your relationships with struggling kids
*Handle behavioral problems confidently and effectively
Develop a new lens for discipleship and point kids to Christ., even in their most difficult moments.
