❓ WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE ❓
Ecstatic dance is a free-form movement and type of dance form, practiced without a fixed choreography.
The idea of ecstatic dance is to completely lend yourself and your body to the rhythm of the music. In ecstatic dance, you move freely through the space leading to a state of trance and ecstasy (hence the name ecstatic). In trance, many dancers find that ecstatic dance brings them into a deep meditative state.
The dance floor is a safe space to bring your individual self to the greater connection of the community. A sacred space where is no talking, no shoes, no alcohol or any additives and no judgment, on which we respect each other and ourselves. Experience a safe space to release your inner dancer, to move like no one is watching.
* Food, cacao, drinks, and drinking water will be available.
ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES ~
⏩ The following guidelines are typical of those followed at hundreds of conscious dances around the world, having been developed through community discussions and agreements over decades.
⏩ Please note: This is a Safe and Sacred Space - drug, smoking & alcohol-free!
⏩ Be mindful of others' personal boundaries. Move freely in all directions/ respect all dance forms and the people around.
⏩ It's a Non-verbal journey / with no mobile phones. together with love, we build a higher vibration.
⏩ Be clean. Please arrive fresh with a clean body and clothes, as some of us are sensitive to any scented products
⏩ Be curious, open, and accepting. Please suspend judgments of self or others.
⏩ Please bring a refillable water bottle, there is free water.
