This Oyster Festival, we dive into the world of one of Knysna’s most elusive residents—the 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙆𝙣𝙮𝙨𝙣𝙖 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚.

Marine biologist Clement Arendse will take us behind the scenes of cutting-edge research happening right here in our estuaries. From citizen science in Swartvlei to new studies planned for Knysna, learn how habitat mapping, invasive algae monitoring, and population tracking could be the key to conserving this iconic species.

Because we can’t protect what we don’t understand.
