Goukamma Nature Reserve and Marine Protected Area, situated on the Garden Route between Sedgefield and Knysna, has a diverse array of fascinating habitats and an abundance of smaller wildlife, birds and fish. It is also a World Heritage Site.
The reserve covers 2 500 hectares of dense coastal dune forest, including thickets of milkwood, yellowwood and candlewood trees. Further inland, the fynbos is characterised by erica and restio species. The Cape Clawless Otter is one of the many hiking trails to explore in the Goukamma Reserve.
Difficulty is rated 2/10 looking at elevation and you have to be able to cover the said distance.

? Hat/head gear
? Suitable non-slip shoes (Off road shoes. Normal sneakers/road running shoes are NOT suitable)
? Snacks
? Lightweight windproof jacket
? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather
? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.
