Invasive Species and How They Impact Our Lives

Let’s go for a walk!

Join Penn State Extension educator, Tim Abbey, for a stroll around the Visitors Center in search of invasive plant species on Saturday, August 23, starting at 10 a.m.

As we walk and discover, you can expect learn more about how invasive species negatively impact the ecosystem. You will learn how do you identify them and what can be done to properly manage them.

Expect to cover all of this and MORE and you will find that it proves valuable for both the backyard gardener and landowner!

The event will start in the auditorium, and from there, we will walk to surrounding areas at the Visitors Center. This event is rain or shine, dress appropriately for outdoor activity and a short, casual walk. It is open to the public and free to attend.

We look forward to taking a walk together and learning more about the impact of invasive species!
