Reverse 4s KOB August 24, 2025
Hi everyone! I'm excited to host another volleyball tourney. Here are the details below and let me know if you have any questions.
🗓️Date: August 24th, 2025
📍Location: Crestwoods Park Athletic Field
Set up/ Warm ups: 8:30am
🕰️ Start time: 9am
End time: aiming for 5pm latest.
💵 Cost: $60/ coed pair ($30 / person)

Format:
Every pair will get 12-15 games to 21.
Sign up as a Coed pair (1 guy, 1 girl) you will be paired up throughout the day with other pairs. There will be 4 pools.
Pool 1, 2, & 3 Game wins & point differential will determine Pool 4 ("finals")
Pool 1,2,3: total of 9 games per pair, cap 23.
Pool 4: you will play 2 games to 21 with each of the pairs, cap 23. Each pair in pool 4 will have 6 games.
Pool 4 wins & point diff determines winners.
Every net will 1 pair winner
Games will be timed so that everyone can get out early!
PLEASE NOTE‼️‼️‼️: the format I am aiming for is no one sits out, everyone is constantly playing. HOWEVER if the total of numbers of pairs that sign up is not multiple of 4s - then I will have a modified version of the format. Modified version is some nets there will be pairs sitting. I will be keeping it every pair gets minimum 12-15 games regardless of format.
Lunch break will be after Pool 3. 30-45 mins (bring your own lunch)
Tournament will be cancelled if there is rain, full refunds will be given.

Waitlist pairs:
Cap at 16 for now, once there is 4 pairs paid on waitlist, it will be extended to 20 pairs, and so on. (I am aiming for a format where no pairs are sitting - so multiple of 4s only)

Rules:
- No open hand receives (even it is clean)
- Men can only attack from behind 10 ft line - if in front of 10ft, ball must CLEARLY go in upward trajectory.
- Men can only block men. No fake blocking women
- Blocking: no breaking wrists
- No open hand tips
- No open hand setting on 1st touch
- Hard driven balls can be doubled.
- Sets over the net must be square.
- Touching net after attacking a ball is a net, even if the ball is dead
- Every game, you can call a 5 min time out
