Join Dr. Wine in nurturing the soul through creative expression, reflective practices, and discussion. This workshop will foster healing and balancing of the 7 main chakras in a safe and supportive environment.
Part 1: In the first half of this workshop you will learn about the 7 main chakras and how they relate to your emotional and physical health. Each person will then choose one or more chakras that they want to explore on a deeper level. We will utilize a combination of mind-body practices and expressive art exercises to help create awareness of unconscious thoughts and behavioral patterns related to these chakras.
Part 2: In the second half of the workshop, you will bring together mental, emotional and somatic insights into a personal piece of artwork that symbolizes your healing journey with the chakra(s). We will close with space for reflection and a supportive group discussion, giving you the chance to share your experience and connect with others on a similar path. You will also create a personal mantra and choose a supportive flower essence to help continue your journey following the event.
PLEASE NOTE:
***No prior art experience is needed—All that is needed is an open heart and a willingness to explore your personal journey. You may choose to create a freehand painting or utilize stencils and stamps provided. We will primarily be using acrylic paint on canvas as this is very forgiving, however, there will be watercolor available for those who prefer this method.
***Lunch is not provided but we will have 30 minutes allotted in the schedule to eat and discuss the exercises in the first half of the workshop. There is a refrigerator and microwave on site for those that need this. There is also a PCC across the street if you forget to bring a lunch.
***In this workshop we will maintain an environment of respect, inclusivity, and non-judgment, where everyone feels valued, heard, and free to express themselves openly.
