Hello! We’re excited to be hosting the AIDA Emerald City Apnea Challenge - Seattle’s first ever AIDA Depth and Pool freediving competition!
We’re hosting this with the goal of introducing Seattle’s freedivers to the rules, safety procedures, competition processes that they would need to know at other freediving competitions around the world. Freediving competitions offer a great place to test your skills and meet other freedivers. We think Washington has an incredible community of freedivers and we want to celebrate that with a safe place to gather, show off your skills, and meet other freedivers!
Who is this for? Any certified Freediver, who is 18 years or older!!! This competition is intended for beginners and people who have never been a part of a freediving competition before. It will be a safe space to learn about the processes, rules and safety procedures of AIDA freediving competitions.
The maximum depth will be 35 meters. There is no minimum depth. Depth will also be limited to the maximum of your deepest certification, whichever is shallower.
