Our committee will be holding our annual general meeting to review our past season and vote in the executive members for the upcoming season.
🆘We are URGENTLY looking for new members. If you have questions about the roles and responsibilities, please message ahead of the AGM or attend to discuss in person.
Those who take on a role will have their predecessor as support for the year making it a great transition. This means the current members will be available to help with questions and will help guide the new members in the beginning of the season and then be on standby throughout the rest.

🎭🎶🎤A LITTLE BIT ABOUT KLFES 🎤🎶🎭
#KLFES has been serving KL and area for 25 years.
We organize 3-4 shows per year - entertainment for families that includes a variety of styles, from circus-style entertainers, puppeteers, cultural entertainers, singers and more.
Our committee is 100% comprised of volunteers and we liaison with other organizations like ours throughout the year to select and book the performers.
The Ontario Arts Council and Canadian Heritage are our main funders as well as great community organizations who sponsor us. This means that yearly sponsorship management is part of our committee's responsibilities (delivering sponsorship letters and receipts).
One other highlight of being part of this committee is that it includes the option to attend an annual event in Vancouver (we try really hard to have a rep there if we can!). If a member is available to attend, all expenses are paid.
Plus, committee members get free tickets to each show.
Other than planning ahead of each show, committee members work together to manage the actual events (tickets at the door, set up and clean up - pretty easy). When not enough committee members are available, they work together ahead to find one-off volunteers.
Being a member of this committee is very low-commitment with high reward: great entertainment for our families here at home!
