Local honey & Homegrown Native Plants.

It's hot out there, but native plants don't care! (I said this last week, but still like the way it sounds.)
Why Native Plants? Native plants thrive because they are acclimated to the conditions in which they naturally grow (our heat and humidity don't scare em). Even better they support the local wildlife. This gorgeous girl, the Eastern Swallowtail, our NC State Butterfly, is nectaring on Mountain mint. If I could plant only one native plant, I would choose Mountain Mint. There are several local native varieties, and all host pollinator parties when in bloom. Bring a party to your yard!
