Join us at Sharing the Field, the fifth edition of River Clyde Arts’ fall harvest festival in New Glasgow, PEI!
Taking place October 3 - 5, Sharing the Field is a family-friendly celebration of food, music, art, and the best of the fall harvest. The event features free workshops, live music and performance, food demos & buck-a-shuck oysters, a delicious meal prepared by Chef Emily Wells, and our by-donation farm stand offering produce from local growers. Everyone is welcome!
Programming launches Friday evening, October 3 at 7:30pm, with an outdoor performance of “A Beginner’s Guide to the Night Sky” by Villains Theatre at the Gardens of Hope. Performance tickets must be purchased in advance.
Saturday, October 4 features free workshops in stilt-walking with Laura Astwood, a foraging workshop with biologist Kate MacQuarrie and more. Advance registration required!
Sunday, October 5 is the main festival day at The Mill in New Glasgow. Programming is free, and there’s something for everyone! Here’s the full lineup:

2:00 - 6:00 pm - By-donation farm stand & cooking fires; Fish smoking & food demos; Flower stand by Mossbank Flower Farm; Hot pepper tasting with The Burly Farmer, Kids activities with Becca the Witch, stilt walking with Laura Astwood, buck-a-shuck oysters, Grey & Dobbin rolling bar
2:00 - 3:00 pm - Music by Olivia Blacquiere & Community Dialogue on the oyster fishery in PEI
2:00 - 5:10 pm - Lupinder’s Tent by Gale Force Theatre, an interactive play for kids age 5-10 (30 minute performances, shows at 2:00-2:30; 2:40 - 3:10pm; 4:00 - 4:30 pm; 4:40 - 5:10pm)
3:00 - 5:45 pm - Hot Meal served by Chef Emily Wells (Advance tickets required)
3:15 - 4:00 pm - Dance performance by the Filipino Dance Masters
