Keeping Chignecto/Sikniktewaq Connected - A talk by Melanie Jellett

Join us on August 7th, 1:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room of Cape Jourimain Nature Centre’s Second Building for a presentation from Melanie Jellett of the New Brunswick Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. Melaine’s talk will share information about the work being done in the Chignecto Isthmus to protect this important wildlife corridor, highlighting how the Isthmus is a priority place for conservation – and what WE all can do to help plants and wildlife and thrive into the future.

Originally from the Gaspé Peninsula in Québec, Melanie moved to Sackville in 2006 to pursue her post-secondary studies at Mount Allison University, where she obtained a Masters of Environmental Science and Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Canadian Studies. Mel has worked in the environmental sector in Southeastern NB for over a decade, is a skilled researcher and program leader. Currently managing the Conservation programs at CPAWS NB, Mel is working to create transformative change that addresses the biodiversity crisis and the need for better protection of wild places and species. Please note, a contribution of $10/vehicle upon entry will be requested for non-members.
