Our featured performer for this event is Karlie Flood:
Karlie Flood is a 27-year-old writer and multimedia artist born and raised in Kingston, New York. She began writing and creating art as a form of therapy in her early teens and often creates multi-media art, which combines collaging, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, drawing, and poetry. Prioritizing the process of creating over the finished product has enabled her to create emotional, meaningful pieces that encourage connection, reflection, and simultaneously serve as a therapeutic and meditative experience. She started her writing project, Reminders To My Future Self, in 2020; in the past 5 years, it has evolved into a line of journals, postcards, stickers, and clothing for her family’s store Rewind Kingston. She works as a Director of Creative Strategies for the indie record label Keep Good Company Records and is in the editing stage of writing her first book. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English and Communications from the University at Albany in 2019.
White Noise is a bi-monthly series of open mics created for artistic expression of all forms and welcomes performers of all kinds! We work to create and hold a space for creativity and can accommodate any and all projects of the imagination.
