Cellar Cat is beyond excited to bring a special live jazz event to the stage on WEDNESDAY, July 30th.
Lorenzo Cominoli is an Italian guitarist, teacher and composer. His fresh and modern sound, together with his lyrical and original phrasing, make him one of the most interesting “voices” today, appreciated by both the public and critics alike. His music combines the elegant Italian taste for melody with deeply grounded elements of contemporary jazz. Lorenzo has performed in numerous clubs and festivals in Europe, Asia and America, including appearance with Steve Cardenas, Klaus Gesing, Mikael Godée, John Stowell, and many others. He has participated in 11 recordings, both as leader and sideman, for some of the most prestigious Italian record labels as well as two recordings and publications entirely made in Finland and Spain.
Alex Chadsey is a professional improvisational pianist with over 20 years of experience as a performer, composer, arranger, and producer. With four albums of original music and credit on a GRAMMY award-winning record, Alex has harnessed his lifelong passion for music to grow a successful international career in the music industry. Alex holds degrees from the Universities of Michigan and Washington, where he graduated with a Masters in 2020. In all musical endeavors, he draws from a wide range of knowledge and traditions, informed as much by formal academic training as by apprenticing with master musicians the world over—from Cuba, Mexico Puerto Rico, NYC, LA, and elsewhere. Notable works include touring the world and recording with the legendary Reggae artist Clinton Fearon, as well as touring and recording with the award-winning, East LA-based rock band Quetzal.
