We’re excited to host a full-day Intro to ASL workshop for anyone interested in getting started with American Sign Language (ASL)! This workshop is perfect for beginners and will be taught entirely by Deaf queer ASL instructors in a welcoming ASL-immersive space. Learn how to communicate visually through engaging activities, games, and culture-based learning.

10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ASL Part I
12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch Break (bring your own or join us for a casual hangout)
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ASL Part II
Accessibility of the space:
There is a ramp and wheelchair accessible doors off William Street.
Gender neutral washrooms/wheelchair accessible washroom is available on the first floor near the Meeting Room.
We also ask that this space be kept scent-free. Thank you.
Sliding Scale Payment:
Pay what you can: $120 – $360
This helps us fairly compensate Deaf instructors while making the workshop accessible to more people.
Please note as with all workshops, classes and retreats, this workshop is free to Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants.
