Flickerfest Best of Australian Shorts

Saturday 23rd August, 7:00pm shines a spotlight on the incredible short film talent that exists in
our Australian film industry with the Best of Australian Shorts programme. Highlights include
Accoladia, a quirky stylised comedy produced by Tassie’s own Grace Quinn and Sophie Booth.
Audiences will also be delighted by The Fix-It-Man And Fix-It-Wooman, an award-winning
animated short, Marcia And The Shark, winner of the Panasonic Award for Best Australian Short
Film. And don't miss Tanya Modini’s stunning And The Ocean Agreed about Vina who suffers from
dementia but finds freedom in a rare outing to the ocean, and the delightful black comedy Candy
Bar by award winning director Nash Edgerton (Mr Inbetween), written by and starring acclaimed
Australian actor Damon Herriman (Breaking Bad).
