3D Engraving on Metal

Join Anna Murfin at Make Me Brand New for a hands-on 3D Engraving Metal Plate Workshop, where you'll explore this extension in the series based on the historic printmaking technique developed in Provincetown just after WWI. Unlike traditional Japanese woodblock printing, which requires multiple blocks, this method lets you create colorful prints from a single engraved metal plate made out of materials around the house that help you upcycle and create at the same time!

🌿In this class you do not need any experience to have fun learning how to make your own unique print using upcycled materials found in your own home. Learn how to take a soda can and turn it into a 3D raised line printing plate you can use to pull multiple prints. We will also provide inspiration on what more you can do with your print to turn it into a mixed media work of art.
