𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: Grist & Mash
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓: Larchest is a “just for fun” photography contest that is meant to inspire Kimberley folks to get outside and enjoy the larch trees as they change colour. Categories are listed below. We will choose about 5 finalists from each category. Then, we will come together at Larchest, enjoy each others’ photos, vote on our favourites, and have a nice little time.
𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐎 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓: Drop in briefly to vote, or stay all night, it doesn’t matter. Bring your kids or make it an adult night, doesn’t matter. It’s very casual, we just hang out, look at the photos, vote and mingle.
𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒: Submit your high resolution photos to

𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒: All photos will be printed to 4x6 before we choose the finalists. If the printed quality isn’t good, your photo(s) will be eliminated. (Cell phone photos are good, but send the high resolution photo (biggest sized fiile). Finalists will be chosen by an unqualified panel of judges, and finalists will be chosen based on which photos are most liked, not on which photos show the most skill. Put your cat on a leash and take it into the larch and you stand a good chance at this contest.

𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐄𝐒: Prizes will be lacking as always, and will be announced at Larchfest, except for the Tasteful Nude category prize, which is always a dozen free range eggs. Oh, and Freestyle Larch always wins a bucket of moody bee honey.
