Please join us for our August 2025 General Meeting and Observation Session
At the general meeting, we will have a presentation from club President Jeff Dunn on 3D printing, including:
-A live walk-through of design software (Tinkercad)
-Demonstration on slicing designs using Cura,
-And finally, a small and fast print on his 3D printer.
This will allow guests to see the 3D printing process from start to finish and hopefully inspire them to use 3D printing in the astronomy hobby.
If the weather is agreeable, we'll adjourn to the observing field and get in some observing time with our personal and club telescopes. Membership - please bring a scope or binoculars.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you've been considering joining the club this is a great time to do so! Join now to receive AL benefits and issues of the Reflector Magazine.
If you are a paid member seeking to check out a telescope, please let us know before the meeting so we can coordinate any exchanges.
We'll meet in Clifton Hall or Halliwell Training Center (check the Google map link below to orient yourself if needed).
If in doubt follow the small luminaries along the gravel path.
Bring your interest, bring a scope/binos, and bring a friend! You don't need any experience, only an interest in all things astronomy.
All are welcome!
