Kildare & Dublin in the Day of Horses

Next up in our Spring Schedule of Events is “Dublin & Kildare in the day of Horses”
presented by history enthusiast Padraig Laffan.

What’s the Sallins connection there I hear you ask?!

Well, given Sallins played such a pivotal role in the transport of goods along the canal, horses were the lorries of the good oul days & were used to pull carts full of stock to barges docked along the Grand Canal that were destined for various stops along the route including our good selves!

There’s much to uncover on this most innocent of times so do join us & Padraig at 8pm 23rd April in Railway Inn!
