The SVR’s vehicular spectacular bursts into life across a whole weekend, as the Vintage Transport Extravaganza welcomes vehicles from all eras to each station on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August.
What to expect at the Vintage Transport Extravaganza? Ride the rails behind heritage steam and diesel locomotives, and get off at stations along the way to see the finest vintage vehicles on display. If you like classic vehicles, then the Severn Valley Railway is the place to visit this August.
Vintage vehicles will be at Kiddermister, Bewdley, Arley, Highley, The Engine House, Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth.
Plus, NEW for 2025, heritage bus rides from Bridgnorth Station!
After getting off the train at Bridgnorth Station, enjoy a scenic bus journey for the ultimate heritage transport experience:
- Saturday: rides to Eardington Station to see the trains pass through, or rides to the beautiful village of Upper Arley.
- Sunday: rides to Eardington Station to see the trains pass through, or rides to historic Much Wenlock, the town that inspired the Olympic Games.
Rides on the buses are free of charge to train ticket holders. For those without train tickets, a donation can be made to the Booking Office. Plan your day with the bus timetable.
Vehicles will be on display between 10am and 4pm (subject to availability).
Normal fares apply: purchase Freedom of the Line or Short Journey tickets. Available in advance or on the day.
