This course, based on Tom Myers' renowned work, Anatomy Trains, offers an introduction to myofascial techniques targeting the Lateral and Spiral Lines. The class will explore the anatomy and functional role of these lines, with practical instruction on myofascial work within these territories.
Participants will review or learn foundational techniques designed to promote lightness, ease of movement, and improved body balance. The course aims to help clients reduce pain and achieve greater body harmony through informed, targeted myofascial work.
This course serves as an introduction to the broader work based on Anatomy Trains, with future offerings exploring other lines and techniques.
Course Objectives
Attendees will:
Identify and describe the anatomy and functional roles of the Lateral and Spiral Lines within the Anatomy Trains model.
Demonstrate fundamental myofascial techniques for working within the territories of the Lateral and Spiral Lines to promote ease of movement and body balance.
Apply the principles of Fascial awareness and movement integration to assist clients in reducing pain and improving overall body alignment.

After graduating from Florida School of Massage in 1996, Arlene completed training in Anatomy Trains Structural Integration in June, 2012. After taking a break from full time practice for a few years, Arlene has returned to massage therapy full time.
